Dutch East Indiaman Schellag bound for the Dutch East Indies in 1742

She left Rammekens, province Zealand, Netherlands on 1 November 1742 with as captain Anthonie Uiterschouw. Visited Portsmouth, England between 5-21 November, visited Cape of Good Hope, South Africa between 1-16 March 1743 and arrived on 28 May at Batavia, Dutch East Indies. Her crew numbered 184 (arrival)-199 (departure sailors and further more were 152 (arrival)-202 (departure) soldiers on board. Of the ship, E.I.C.-chamber Zealand, on stocks by Hendrik Raas at E.I.C-yard at Middelburg, Netherlands on 17 April 1736, launched on 18 December 1736 dimensions 145 x ? x ? and tonnage of 850 metric tons.
