British troops arriving at Guyana according to the Dutch newspaper De Curacaosche courant dated 6 February 1819

An item reported that British troops arrived at Guyana. Two officers named J. Whitney and John Johnston on board of the transport Perseverance wrote the governor of Margarita [the Venezuelan island Margarita?] that on board were 200 military to serve for the Venezuelan government.
