First Japanese war steamship laid down in Japan according to the Dutch newspaper Nederlandsche staatscourant dated 30 March 1867

An item referred to a private letter received from Nagasaki, Japan reprting that on 19th January at Tagalami, Japan the keel was laid down of the first steamship ever built in Japan for the Japanese navy. The building was supervised by Dutchmen.
