Danish bark Thyra underway from England towards Sweden lost according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 29 October 1896

An item dated Bude, England 27th reported that the Danish bark Thyra loaded with coal and bricks underway from Burryport, England towards Stockholm, Sweden stranded in the evening of the 28th between Crackington Harbour and Bude. A lifeboat succeeded to reach the heavily rolling ship which already lost her foremast and sails and which was 7 miles away from the coastline. Her crew of nine men was saved, the ship was totally lost.
