Tug Telegraph lost of one of the two lighters she was towing according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 14 January 1905

An item dated Hamburg, Germany 9^th reported that the tug Telegraph in the night of the 6^th-7^th lost her tows consisting of the lighters Zukunft and Quarta off Norderney caused by the heavy stormy weather. The Zukunft was underway from London, England towards Danzig, Germany and the Quarta underway from Leer, Germany towards Hamburg. With all efforts succeeded the Telegraph to salvage the damaged Zukunft towing her into Bremerhaven. The Quarta however disappeared with the men on board and it was feared that the drowned.
