Dutch coal transport Prospero launched at Schiedam, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Schiedamsche Courant dated 23 March 1909

An item reported the launching a day earlier at the shipyard Gusto of the steel hull of a coal transport with 2 screw built for foreign account. Dimensions 42,400 x 10,00 x 5,250 metres. Fitted out with 2-100 hp compound engines and a boiler with a heating surface of 80 square metres and 8 atmosphere pressure. Electrically lightened. Cargo capacity 600 ton and able to unload in seagoing ships with a speed of 250 ton/hour.(1)
