Dutch union of owners of tugs founded according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Schiedamsche Courant dated 13 June 1897

An item reported that several owners of tugs at Rotterdam and Dordrecht, Netherlands intended to found an union of 90-100 tugs. Each shipping agent/owner kept his boat as property with a main office for the supervision. The director was to be chosen with a majority of votes. If this director was himself owner of tugs, he would not receive wages. Of the towage money was 1% to be stored to paid the common expenses. What remained was to be dived depending on the horsepower.
