Icebreaker Ermak returned to Tallinn, Estonia due too heavy ice according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 28 April 1905

An item dated Reval [Tallinn, Estonia] 25th reported that the icebreaker Ermak which departed on the 24th with the Russian steamship Pallada returned from Hogland due to the heavy ice. The Pallada underway from Odessa towards St. Petersburg was damaged. It was believed that he had to wait another 14 days before Kronstadt could be entered.
