Dutch tug trawler Gruno found lifeboat of lost British ship Kensington London according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 4 juli 1918

An item dated Ijmuiden, Netherlands 2nd reported that the arrival of the Dutch tug trawler Gruno with a white painted lifeboat found floating at the North Sea marked Kennington London.(1)

1. The Kennington London was a British steam collier launched at the Dublin Dockyard Company, Dublin, Ireland with yard number 93 for account of the South Metropolitan Gas Company, London, England on 14 March 1918. Torpedoed on 12 June 15 miles East of Flamborough Head by the German submarine UB 108.
