Dutch civil schooner Doris cruising in the Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Javasche courant dated 2 December 1840

An item dated 15 November reported the arrival at Banjoewangie, Dutch East Indies of the  civil schooner Doris captain H. Hederik returning from a cruising around the island Bali, Dutch East Indies On the 19th she departed southwards.(1)

1. Schooner 1st class. Built in the Dutch East Indies, 19th century, of the colonial navy and with an armament of 4 guns. In >1837-1852< in service. Repaired at Onrust, Dutch East in 1852.
