Chilean naval ferry Buzo Sobenes 1969-2011

Built by ASMAR Talcahuano/Altamirano and Arancibia, Iquique as the fishing vessel Maria Marta but converted for naval purposes. First to be used as training ship for fishery and shipping but served for 39 years as a ferry. Fitted out with 1-340hp Cummins diesel allowing a speed of 8 knots. Dimensions 22,4 x 6.7 x 2,6 metres. Passengers capacity 220 persons for ferry service between the island Quiriquina and the Molo Naval Base. Broken up in 2011.
