Dutch East Indiaman Jamby bound for the Dutch East Indies in 1686

Pinnace/yacht. She left on 21 January Texel, Netherlands, visited Cape of Good Hope, South Africa between 17 May-16 June 1686, for slave trade departed towards Madagascar, returned at Cape of Good Hope on 13 November 1686 with on board 221 slaves, departed via Ceylon and the west coast of Sumatra (arrived there on 2 September 1687) and finally arrived at Batavia, Dutch East Indies on 15 February 1688. Laid up at Batavia in December 1696. Her crew numbered 49 (arrival)-63 (departure) sailors and further more 4 (arrival)-25 (departure) soldiers. Built in 1679 at Amsterdam, Netherlands. Chamber Amsterdam. and as dimensions 110 x 26-27 x10½-11¾, Dutch measurement cargo capacity 156 last, measurement at Batavia, Dutch East Indies cargo capacity 140 last and as tonnage 336 metric tons.
