Dutch warship Nijmegen 1645-1652

Of the admiralty Maze, bought in 1645, sunk in action with the British navy in the battle off Plymouth on 26 August 1652, dimensions 105 x 24'8" x 9'8", an armament of 26-27 guns and  a crew numbering 95 men. The former Dutch warship Kasteel van Medemblik, captured by Dunkirkers in 1639, captured by the Dutch warship Aemilia while she tried as Dunkirker blockade runner to escape from the Scheur on 2 March 1645, bought on 28 March 1645. Commanding officer in 1652 captain Paulus van den Kerckhoff.
