German submarine U-91 successful in the Irish Sea submarine according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad van het Noorden dated 10 May 1918

An item dated Berlin, Germany 10th referred to an official statement that a submarine (1) commanded by Von Galenap (2) succeeded in destroying 7 steamships and 3 sail ships with a total tonnage of more as 26.00 ton in the heavily protected Irish Sea and entrances.

1. This must be the U 91 commanded by him between 17 September 1917 and 11 November 1918. Her building at the Kaiserliche Werft at Danzig [nowadays Gdank, Poland] was ordered on 23 June 1915, laid down on 1 August 1916, launched on 14 April 1917, commissioned on 17 September 1917, surrendered on 26 November 1918 to France where she was broken up in July 1921 at Brest.
