Spanish submarine C-2 would be repaired at France according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 26 October 1937

An item reported that the submarine C-2 of the Spanish Republicans and which was lying at Brest, France would be repaired at St. Nazaire, France. Two tugs would tow her towards St. Nazaire escorted by a French destroyer.(1)

1. Launched at Cartagena, Spain on 4 May 1928 and finally stricken in 1952. On 7 March 1939 surrendered to the Spanish Nationalists. She was an improved, enlarged B-class of the Holland-design built under a license of the Electric Boat Company, USA.
