An item dated Batavia, Dutch East Indies 30^th April reported that the Dutch ship Pieter Corneliszoon Hooft, built in 1841 with a measurement of 479 last and last captain Koens was to be sold on a public auction. The Algemeen Handelsblad dated 15 May called her a frigate ship.
