British 5th rate Alarm captured the French privateers le Fils de la Patria and Chauvelin according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsche courant dated 7 May 1793

An item dated London, England 3rd reported that the British frigate Alarm captured the French privateers le Fils de la Patria of 6 guns and 25 men and the Chauvelin on 10 guns and 54 men taking both ships in Downs, England.(1)

1. 32-gun 5th Rate launched at the shipyard of Barnard, Harwich on 19 September 1758 and which was broken up at Portsmouth, England in September 1812.
