British privateer Alligator captured two Danish ships bound for France according to the Dutch newspaper Ommelander courant dated 26 November 1793

An item reported that the British privateer Alligator captured two Danish ships loaded with valuable war stores taking them to Jersey. The Alligator mislead the Danish ships by hoisting the French national flag suggesting that she was herself a French ship.
