French/Chilean bucket dredger Aldovisi departed Netherlands towards Chile according to the Dutch newspaper Schiedamsche Courant dated Tuesday 21 March 1911

An item reported that on Saturday the seagoing bucket dredger Aldovisi built for foreign account left the shipyard Gusto (firm A.F. Smulders), Schiedam, Netherlands bound for Talcahuano, Chile using her own engines. Dimensions 41 x 7,50 x 3,30 (hold) metres. Fitted out with 2x250 ihp main engines and 2 boilers each with a heating surface pf 90 square metres and 8 atmosphere pressure. Complete electrically lightened, Able to work on a depth of 14 metres below the waterline with a capacity of around 350 cub metres/hour using 600 litres buckets. The mud could be unloaded in barges or pressed away using the san d pump.(1)
