French frigate or aviso le Détroyat (F784) 1974-2015

Part of a range of the d’Estienne d’Orves-class type A69 consisting of 17 units ordered to be built by the Arsenal at Lorient between September 1976 and May 1984. Technical specifications. Displacement 950 (standard)-1.170/later ships 1.250 (full load) tons and as dimensions 80 x 10,3 x 5,5 (sonar) metres or 262.5 x 33.8 x 18 feet. Horsepower 12.000 bhp and a speed of 23 knots and with a range of 4.500 nautical miles by a speed of 15 knots. The crews numbered 90 men included 7 officers. The armament consisted of 1-3.9”/10cm gun, 4 torpedo tubes and 1 Creusot Loire 37,5cm Mk 54 6-tubed drainable launcher. Laid down on 15 December 1974, launched on 31 January 1976, commissioned on 4 May 1977 and dismantled on 25 April 1997.
