Dutch shipyard Kon. Mij. De Schelde at Vlissingen, Netherlands manufactured pontoons for the outer harbour of Vlissingen in 1886

In the order administration dated 6 April 1886 was the order for account of the Dutch Department of Waterstaat described as the delivery of the two pontoons yard numbers 51-54 with parts and the movement of the existing pontoon and bridge in the outer harbour at Vlissingen, Netherlands. Contracted price ƒ 309.500.Building costs totally ƒ 227.439,56 (material and expenses contract ƒ 167.719,22, labour ƒ 35.129,34, 70% expenses labour ƒ 24.591) resulting in a profit of ƒ 82.060,44).

Pontoon A, yard number 51, laid down in June 1886, launched on 16 October 1886, departed the shipyard on 10 May 1887 and was delivered on 1 June 1887. Dimensions 40,15 (between perpendiculars x 19,25 at the side of the pontoon bridge and 10,00 at the other side x 0,50 x 3,30 (hold) metres. Steel made. Bestek A1886. Weight 300 ton.

Pontoon B, yard number 52, laid down in July 1886, launched on 30 October 1886, departed the shipyard on 10 May 1887 and delivered on 1 June 1887. Dimensions 39,00 (between perpendiculars) x 15 x 0,50 metres. Steel made. Bestek A1886. Weight 300 ton.
