Former Dutch pilot vessel Rigel (A820) 1942-

Netherlands-flagged, MMSI 24573000 and call sign PC2861. Originally built byC. Smit&Zn, Kinderdijk, Netherlands as a Greenland trawler in 1942. Seized in 1942 by the Germans and converted into a anti aircraft vessel. After the Second World War rebuilt as a pilot vessel at the Arnhemsche Stoomsleephelling at Arnhem, Netherlands and completed at the shipyard of L. Smit, Kinderdijk, Netherlands. Commissioned on 14 October 1948 with pennant A820 and stationed in the region Rijnmond in Maassluis and Hoek van Holland. Now possessed and used by the Zeekadetkorps Maassluis as training ship.
