The new French naval shipbuilding program according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1924 no. 2

The Béatn

An item referred to the magazine Naval and Military Record dated 2 January 1924 reporting that the new French shipbuilding program consisted of 3-7.875 tons cruisers, 6-10.000 ton cruisers, 21-2.400 ton destroyers, 36-1.400 ton destroyers, 4-3.000 submarine cruisers, 30-1.300 ton submarines, 6-1.100 ton submarines, 6-680 ton submarines and 1-23.000 ton aircraft carrier (1), totally 33 ships.

1. Probably the Béarn, a planned battleship of the Normandie-class converted into an aircraft carrier, laid down at the shipyard Société Nouvelle des Forges et Chantiers de la Méditerranéee, La Seyne, France on 10 January 1914, launched as an aircraft cattier n April 1920, commissioned in May 1927 and stricken on 21 March 1967 and finally broken up in Italy.
