French armoured cruiser Waldeck Rousseau (1908) in 1923

Edgar Quinet-class. Launched in 1908, completed in 1911, displacement 13.995 tons, horsepower 36.000 hp, coal fired reciprocating machinery and an armament of 14-7.6” guns, 18 smaller and light guns and 2 submerged torpedo tubes.

1. Brassey‘s naval and shipping annual 1923. Displacement 14.220 tons and as dimensions 515 x 70¼ x 27½ feet. Horsepower 35.286 hp, built at Lorient. Building costs 1.301.380 pound sterling. Armour consisted of a 3,5-6,5” thick belt, 2,5” thick deck, side above belt protected by 5”, 4¾”thick bulkheads and main and secondary armament protected by respectively 6 and 5,5 “ thick armour. Armament consisted of 14-7.6” guns, 20-2.4” guns, 3-3pd guns, 2-1pd guns and 2 submerged torpedo tubes. Speed 23,10 knots. Crew numbered 738 men,
