French light cruiser (ex-Königsberg) Metz in 1923

Launched in 1915, completed in 1916, displacement 5.300 ton, coal-oil fired turbine direct drive machinery and armament of 8-5.9” guns, 6 smaller and machineguns and 4 torpedo tubes.(1)

1. Former German light cruiser SMS (ex-Ersatz Meteor) Königsberg, laid down at the Kaiserliche Werft, Kiel, Germany on 12 January 1905, launched on 12 December 1905, commissioned on 6 April 1907, stricken on 31 May 1920, handed over to France at Cherbourg, France under the temporarily name ‘A’ on 20 July 1920, stricken on 18 August 1933 and broken up at Brest, France in 1936.
