US Navy ordered building of 6-10.000 tons cruisers according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1927 no. 6

An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau reported that the American admiralty ordered some months earlier the building of 6-10.000 ton cruisers, two to be built at naval shipyards, the other four at private owned shipyards, to be built in 36 respectively 45 months.
