British private shipyards received 70% of the orders for building warships according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1935 no. 6

An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht dated 3 August 1935 reporting that 70% of the British new building orders for warships was given to private shipyards and just 30% to navy yards. Building costs per ton at private shipyards respectively for cruisers, destroyers and submarines 213, 201 and 298 pond sterling and at navy yards 207, 214 and 355 pond sterling.
