Wireless transmitting station at Sayville no longer supplying information to German submarines according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 5 July 1915

An item reported that the Marconi station at Sayville was now supervised by the American government to prevent communication with German submarines.(1)

Note
1. This was a German Telefunken wireless built in 1912 in nowadays West Sayville, New York, USA and responsible for sending a message which resulted in the sinking of the sinking of the Lusitania. American marines were sent to prevent sending encrypted messaged and in 1917 when the USA declared war on Germany was the station even seized.
