Dutch 4th charter Elswoud, also called Huis te Elswoud 1677-1690

Of the admiralty Amsterdam, built by Jan van Rheenen or Jan Groen at naval yard Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1677, burnt by own crew after action off Besevier or lost by retrieval on 10 July 1690, dimensions (Amsterdam foot) 136 (prow) x 36-36½ x 14, an armament of 50-60 guns and a crew numbering 190-210 men. Commanding officers 1688 captain A.F. van Zijll, July 1689 with rear admiral Nieuwburg part of fleet commanded by Evertsen, July departed with vice admiral V.d. Putten in fleet commanded by Evertsen, same month her captain Noorthey deceased and 1690 , captain Ferdinand van der Zijl van den Slegs. Sources differs with names of her commanding officers.
