Of the admiralty Amsterdam, built by John May at naval yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1768, captured by British in the Nieuwediep, Netherlands in 1796, dimensions (Amsterdam foot) 125 7/11 x 33 7/11 x 13 2/11, an armament of 24 guns and a crew numbering 156 men. Commanding officers 1772 P.H. van Nimwegen, 1776 W.J. Bentinck, 1778 J.C. van Braam, 1779 F.R. graaf van Rechteren, 1782 captain A.W. Willink and 1783 Louis Abreson.
