Russian navy basin to be realized at Reval according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens 1898 no. 1

An item reported that at Reval [nowadays Tallinn, Estonia] a new government basin and dock was to be realized with a budget of 530.000 rubles. Merchant ships continuously used the harbour almost completely and the new basin was to solve the problem of lacking facilities for the navy. Merchant ships were not allowed to use the new basin and dock.
