New Italian battleships to be armed with 34cm guns according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1910-1911 no. 10

Conte di Cavour-class

An item reported that the 3 Cavour-design battleships being built in Italy probably were to be armed with 34cm/13.4” guns. Such a gun delivered by Armstrong was now being tested.(1)

Note
1. The Conte di Cavour-class consisting of the Conte di Cavour, Guilio Cesare and Leonardo da Vinci built with 13-30,4cm/12” Armstrong Whitworth and Vickers guns(2x2 and 3x3). Probably the 34cm was a miswriting in the text.
