American scout bombers departed with unknown destination according to the Dutch newspaper Utrechts volksblad dated 15 September 1939

An item reported that 14 scout-bombers of the US navy departed Pearl Harbour, Hawaii, USA for a nonstop flight of 4.000 kilometres to an unknown destination and for a kept secret purpose.
