Transports and coast guard vessels built for Mexican account in Spain according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1934 no. 7

An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau dated 20 November 1934 reporting that for Mexican account in Spain 5 armed 1.300/1.600 transports and 4-150 ton coastguard vessels were under construction. Four transports were already launched, speed 19-20 miles and an armament of 2/3-10,2cm/4”uns. The 2-1.600 ton transports armed with 2-10,2cm guns were able to carry 500 men and 30 horses. The other 1.300 ton transports were armed with 3-10,2cm guns but could carry just 250 men excluded their crews. The coastguard vessels were to be fitted out with 2 M.A.N. diesel engines of 1.500 hp allowing a speed of 25 miles. To be armed with 2 machineguns.
