British torpedo gunboat HMS Sheldrake executing trials according to the Dutch magazine dated Marineblad 1899-1900 no. 5

An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that the British torpedo gunboat HMS Sheldrake executed a trial during 68 hours achieving with 1.500hp a distance of 1.000 miles, a medium speed of 14,7 miles and a coal consumption of 0,72kg/hour/hp.(1)

1. Of the Sharpshooter-class, laid down by Chatham Dockyard, England  on 4 July 1888, launched on 30 March 1899, completed on 8 July 1890 and sold to be broken up on 9 July 1906 or 1907.
