Italian torpedo boat 1st class Pellicano launched according to the Dutch magazine dated Marineblad 1899-1900 no. 5

An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that on 7th April by Odero the Italian torpedo boat 1st class Pellicano was launched. Displacement 250 tons and as dimensions 47,65 x 5,40 x 1,14 (fore)-2,39 (aft) metres. The machinery consisted of 2-4 cylinder vertical  triple expansion steam engines delivering 2.700hp allowing a speed of 25 miles. Coal bunker capacity 40 tons. The armament consisted of 2-3,7cm guns and 2 torpedo launchers.(1)

1. Laid down by Odero, Sestri Ponente, Italy in July 1896, launched on 7 April 1899, completed in December 1900 and discarded in April 1920.
