Italy ordered building Lampo-class destroyers in Germany according to the Dutch magazine dated Marineblad 1899-1900 no. 5

An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that the Italian navy ordered 2 destroyers with a designed speed by Schichau, Elbing, Germany to be delivered in June.(1)

1, Part of the Lampo-class, preceded by the Fulmine and succeeded by the Nembo-class, built between 1899-1902 and serving until 1924, consisting of the Lampom Freccia, Dardo, Euro, Strale and Ostro.
