Built by Deschimag, Werk Seebeck, Wesermünde, Germany in 1939 for account of Walter Rau Lebensmittelwerke GmbH as whaler for the whale factory ship. Gross register tonnage 380 tons and as dimensions 46,1 x 8,2 x 4,0 metres. Machinery consisted of 1-1.600hp triple expansion steam engine allowing with one screw a speed of 14 knots. Crew numbered 15 men.
