New type scouts designed for French navy according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens dated 1905 no. 1

An item reported that the French engineer M. Bertin designed a new class of scouts with a displacement of 1.600 tons and a machinery delivering 3.800 ihp allowing a s peed of 18 knots and a range of 7.300 nautical miles. The armament was to consist of 4 small quick firing guns and 7 torpedo tube of which 2 submerged.
