British Royal Navy introducing new small calibre quick firing Vickers gun according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens dated 1904 no. 7

Am item reported the introduction in the British Royal Navy of a new Vickers quick firing gun firing a shell with a weight of 1,36 kilo and which qualities were superior to already existing comparable guns. The gunpowder charge consisted of a modified cordite powder. The rate of fire of the gun was extraordinary high and further more was an automatic visor device available.
