British East Coast harbours closed for foreign trawlers according to the Dutch newspaper De Tijd dated Wednesday 30 September 1914

An item dated London, England 29th reported that the maritime authority at Grimsby, United Kingdom stated that from Thursday on the British East Coast harbours were closed for trawlers of neutral countries or to depart from there for fishing. Fishing was just allowed at the West coast. The measure was especially adverse for a large number of Dutch and Danish trawlers.
