Dutch tank barge Elbia in 1945

Vice admiral L.A.C.M. Doorman, head Dutch Military Mission at the Allied Control Commission (A.C.C.) corresponded in 1946 with the Department of Foreign Affairs, The Hague, Netherlands dealing with Dutch ships located in the Russian controlled zone of Germany. The file contains a list dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 7 November 1945 dealing with Dutch tank barges. Last known position Wittenbergen, tonnage 628,006 tons and owner Phs. Van Ommeren’s Scheepvaartbedrijf N.V., Rotterdam, Netherlands.(1)

1. ENI 2303780, built by Gebr. Pot, Bolnes, Netherlands with yard number 579 in 1908, became the Elblingerode in 1971, sold on 23 September 1971 to J. Grube, Moorfleet Hamburg, Germany as yard pontoon and is since then broken up.
