Philippine landing craft Davao (I 34) (1944) 1948-


Ex-LCI 1058 of the US Navy, laid down by DeFoe Shipbuilding Co. Bay City, Michigan, USA on 23 March 1944, launched on 7 April 1944, commissioned on 18 April 1944, reclassified as a LCI(G)=Landing Craft Infantry (guns) on 31 December 1944 and on 30 April 1945 as a LCI (M)=Landing Craft Infantry (Mortar), handed over to the Philippine Navy on 2 July 1948. Displacement 173-381 (full load) tons and as dimensions 159 (over all) x 23 2/3 x 5 2/3 feet. Armament consisted of 2-2cm guns in 1958. Crew numbered 43 men. The diesel propulsion supplied via 2 shafts 1.329bhp allowing a speed of 134 knots.
