An item reported that the at Dundee, Scotland fitted out screw steam whaler Esquimaux with a cargo capacity of 436 tons had in 1872 as catch results while active in Greenland and Davis Strait 5.210 seals, 12 whales, 650 hectolitres seal oil, 1.102 hectolitres whale oil, total 1.752 litres oil and 5.250 kilo whalebone.
