The shipyard at Galati, Romania. according to a CIA report dated 4 November 1955

An item dealing with the Romanian Danube harbours reported that in Galati a shipyard existed with 3 slipways for building tugs and lighters. At the moment of the rport were between 10-12 tugs and lighters under construction. The shipyard possessed one large fixed crane which could also be used at nighttime  due to the electric lights ounted on 3 iron poles.
