According to a list dated March-April 1944 was the cargo barge Basarabia part of the fleet of the Dnjepr-Küsten-Schiffahrt GmbH (D.K.S.), Romania-flagged, dimensions 51,90 x 9,15 x 2,77 metres and cargo capacity 808 tons.
