Japanese Second World War standard merchant ship types A and A modified Sugar Bake Love

Ships were built at Tokyo and near Nagasaki, although without prefabrication of hull sections. By July 1944 were around 24 ships of the types A and A Modified built. It was believed that the following ships were under the mentioned 24 (between bracktes tons): Batopaja Maru (5,993)-Getsuyo Maru (6,640)-Koyo Maru (6,435)-Kyokuzan Maru (6,300)-Mitsuki Maru (6,440)-Nichiyo Maru 6,300)-Nichizui Maru (6,584)-Nikkyu Maru (6,529)-Nissho Maru (6,008)-Nisshun Mau (6,380)-Oigawa Maru (6,493)-Taiten Maru (6,442)-Tatebu Maru (6,816(-Tatsunan Maru (6,417)Tatsuura Maru 6,420)-Uyo Maru (6,376)-Yosan Maru (6,487)-Yosho Maru (6,300)-Yowa Maru (6,435)-Yuzan Maru (6,380)

Type A, gross tonnage 6,400 tons, loaded displacement 9,300 tons, dimensions 445? (over all) x 58 x 25.5 (loaded) feet. Reciprocating propulsion, 3,300 ihp and normal cruising speed 12 knots. Fitted out with 8-10 tons cargo booms, 8-15 tons cargo booms and 2-25 tons carg booms

Type A Modified, gross tonnage 6,670 tons, loaded displacement 9,720 tons, dimensions 445 (over all) x 64 x 25.5 (loaded) feet. Steam turbine propulsion, horsepower 2,000 (coal)-2,500 (oil) shp, normal cruising speed 10 knos. Fitted out with 12-5 tons cargo booms and 1-30 ton cargo boom
