Biyo Maru-Boston Maru-Ruyo Maru-Havre Maru-Hukyo Maru-Kasyu Maru-Koyo Maru-Meigen Maru-Milan Maru-Nitiai Maru-Nitiren Maru-Nitiryu Maru-Oyo Maru-Reiyo Maru-Yosida Maru No. 1-Zyuyo Maru. Call sign JXPD. Laid down by Asano S.B. Co. Ltd. Tsurumi, Japan on 12 July 1918, launched on 5 February 1919, delivered on 19 March 1919 and torpedoed on 26 January 1943. Gross tonnage 5,447 tons, under deck 4,996 tons, netto tonnage 3,407 tons and as dimensions 400.00 x 53.2 x 29.4 x 8 (light)-26 (loaded) feet. Reciprocating propulsion, single screw, horsepower 513 nhp, bunker capacity 1850 tons, range 13,500 nautical miles/10 knots and speed 10 (normal cruising)-12 (maximum) knots.
