Of the Triton-class with as sister ships the Bellona, Flora and the Triton. She was launched at the Italian shipyard Cantiere del Tirreno at Riva Trigoso/Taranto 19 December 1954, commissioned 30 July 1955 and finally decommissioned 30 August 1974. In fact she was of the Italian Albatross-class corvettes design. The Royal Dutch Navy also obtained one corvette of this class namely Hr.Ms. Lynx. Her international call sign was OUEF.
With a displacement of 875 tons were her dimensions 69,60 (waterline)-76,10 (over all) x 9,60 x 3,11m. Due to the fact that she in the sixties was rearmed was her displacement increased to 894 tons. Her crew numbered 108 men. The two Italian Ansaldo-Fiat diesel engines supplied 4,600 hp allowing maximum speed of 20,4 knots and a range of 3,000 nautical miles with a speed of 18 knots and with a speed of 16 knots 4,570 nautical miles.
