Dutch warship Zr.Ms. Amphitrite and the merchant ship Noord-Holland departed Den Helder towards Guinea and the Dutch West Indies according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 17 April 1838

Tidings dated Den Helder 14 April reported that that day the corvette Zr.Ms. Amphitrite captain lieutenant Tengebergen departed towards the coast of Guinea and the Dutch merchant ship Noord-Holland master H.K. Ruijl with on board 170 men of the colonial troops commanded by 1st lieutenant Tol towards the Dutch West Indies.
